    • Works under the supervision of the Lead Catering Associate and is responsible to promote personalized care to patients.

    • Education
      • Preferred: Courses taken in Nutrition
    • Licensure/Certification
      • Required: Current Riverside County Food Handler’s Card or Serve Safe Certificate

    • Experience
      • Required: None
      • Preferred: 6 months of restaurant or food service experience Experience with therapeutic diets
  • Essential Responsibilities
    • Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations.
    • Speaks menu following standard scripting guidelines.
    • Assists patients in selecting meals offering alternatives when appropriate.
    • Ensures meal choices are appropriate for Physician prescribed diet.
    • Informs patient of physician prescribed diet and provides Diet Awareness card.
    • Provides patient with basic information regarding dietary restrictions when taking meal order.
    • Prepares and delivers patient meals in efficient and timely manner
    • Ensures patient has everything for their meal prior to leaving the room.
    • Follows proper safety procedures related to food service equipment and knives.
    • Follows proper safety procedures related to preparation and holding of foods.
    • Responsible for attending all required inservice training.
    • Reports equipment problems immediately to manager.
    • Maintainins and updates patient nutrition profiles and passing that information on to the next CA.
    • Follows regulated hygiene standards
    • Maintains stock levels in assigned area
    • Maintains knowledge of nourishment requirements
    • Cleans and sanitizes assigned areas
    • Learns and follows standards regarding portion sizes.
    • Keeps work area clean, organized and sanitized
    • Follows food safety guidelines
    • Reports any patient complaints/concerns immediately to Assistant Director or Lead Catering Associate.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.
